Food insecurity continually plagues the extreme poor in Haiti. Moreover, devastating cycles of natural disasters, political instability, corruption, and crime hinder development. Additionally, skyrocketing inflation threatens to trap our friends in Haiti under an even greater weight of hunger and hopelessness.
We need your continual partnership to help the poor in Haiti scale up food production to build sustainable, livable incomes.
Last year, Bright Hope started a seed-growing program to help our friends in Haiti grow more food for their families. It was so successful that we’re launching round two! We need your help to make this round as prosperous as the first.
To enable a new group of farmers to grow enough food to feed their families, we need your support to raise $15,000. Your generous gift will help feed at least 2,000 people by supplying farmers with seeds for corn, beans, peanuts, pigeon peas, black beans, and plantains. In addition, farmers will receive training on crop cultivation and seed preservation so they can save seeds after harvest to plant the following season.
Please prayerfully consider how you can help. This seed project has the potential to feed thousands of people and launch hundreds of family gardens! And as always, if this program receives total funding, additional resources will support similar strategic projects.
