Drinking Clean Water
The more you know...
A significant proportion of deaths in extremely poor communities can be prevented just by giving a community access to a protected water source or the means to properly filter their water. In communities that lack access to clean water, girls typically are responsible to walk long distances and fetch what their families need. To fulfill this responsibility, they often miss school or drop out completely. Access to clean water prevents a multitude of diseases, increases life-expectancy through innovative technologies, and makes it easier for girls to attend school.
