High up in the mountains of Bolivia, far away from the city, impoverished children have limited access to education, nourishing food, medical care, and protection. One of our church partners has made it their priority to reach these children, giving them a safe place to learn, grow, and receive love.
The church still needs funding to finish the year strong. Can you help?
The Sucre Church in Quebrada Pajchiri started the Child and Family Development Center to care for impoverished children in their community. Each day these children receive healthy food, help with schoolwork, biblical teaching, and caring discipleship.
Eleven-year-old Edith attends the center and also helps her teacher, Sister Reni, care for 10 younger children. Edith has five siblings, but her father abandoned them to live with another family. Despite her traumatic home life, Edith serves the younger kids with love and passion.
The volunteers from the church are truly heroes, traversing distance, terrain and other challenges to minister to needy children and their families. Why? To meet their physical and spiritual needs – to share the hope found in Jesus in tangible ways.
Fall semester activities at the Child and Family Development Center are thriving with life, but they still need $2,880 to meet their budget for the year. Could you help?
