“Train up a Child…” For Turkana Farmers, the Babies Come Too!

Look at these Turkana, Kenya, farmers go! They’re being trained on how to plant tomato seedlings on our partner farm. The goal is for these farmers to plant their first seedlings by mid-February!

*Please pray the Lord will protect their crops from the locust attacks, which are destroying vegetation in other Kenyan counties.

Why do we have a partner farm in Turkana, Kenya?

The region is often drought-ridden and prone to famine. Most of the people are pastoralists–meaning they raise animals as their main source of food and income–but due to weather crises, this is unreliable and at times leaves them hungry or literally starving.

By helping them invest in farming, we are giving them an ongoing source of nutritious food production!

Did you miss our post (and pics) about their first watermelon harvest?! Check it out here—and you’ll also get a little more background on the farm project as well as some cool before and after shots.

We’ve sent out a few prayer requests and updates about the farm progress as well. Don’t miss out—join our prayer texting team to get a couple prayer alerts a month!
