Celebrate Our Hardworking Pastors in Haiti

As you may have read in the news, violence and fear continue to spiral out of control in Haiti. In response, many Haitian pastors have worked courageously on the frontlines, pouring out their lives to assist hurting people in their communities.

Amid this chaos, Bright Hope’s church partners have reached out to the discouraged and fearful. They have shared comfort and hope with the downtrodden. Truly, pastors and church leaders in Haiti have carried the light of Jesus into very dark places.

Pastor Sam’s Passion

Pastor Sam’s serves his church faithfully. He continually demonstrates genuine faith and compassion for his community. Like many church leaders in Haiti, Pastor Sam must maximize very few financial resources and collaborate with under-qualified leaders. Regardless of the obstacles, Pastor Sam invests his time, energy, talents, and limited resources in the ministry and outreach of his church.

Even though Pastor Sam is nearly 60 years old, he tirelessly works to build up his church and even plant new churches. Carrying out the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 is his life mission.

Not long ago, Pastor Sam had a motorcycle accident while on one of his outreach trips. Thank God, he recovered! As soon as Pastor Sam was on his feet again, he jumped back on his motorcycle to continue his church outreach activities.

Pastor Sam embraces Bright Hope’s holistic ministry model for the church. To provide education to his church and community, he developed a primary and secondary school and a vocational training center. Pastor Sam also prioritizes providing social support to his community.

Currently, Pastor Sam is raising money and prayer support to build a church. Please pray for Pastor Sam and all the amazing, servant-hearted pastors in Haiti.

You can send a note to pastors in Haiti!

As they face violence, skyrocketing inflation, and turmoil, pastors and church leaders in Haiti work amid tragedy and trauma every day. Please keep them in your prayers and consider sending them a note of encouragement. You never know, your note may give a Haitian pastor or church leader the emotional and spiritual boost to keep fulfilling God’s calling for their lives.

Here is how you can get involved:

  1. Send a note of encouragement to a pastor or church leader in Haiti.
  2. Join our Bright Hope Day of Prayer for Haiti on September 12, 2024, at 10 AM CST!
