Some of my earliest memories are of running frantically in my backyard, trying to escape a seemingly angry bee. I even remember stepping on a bee and feeling the burning pinch of a sting on the bottom of my big toe!

- Honeybees can fly 15 miles per hour, and their wings beat 11,400 times per minute.
- Honeybees visit up to 100 flowers on each trip and never sleep!
- Honey keeps so well that a pot of edible honey was found in King Tut’s tomb.
- Honey has antimicrobial properties that make it helpful in healing minor burns, scrapes and wounds.
- Last but certainly not least, a hive full of hard-working honeybees can help a hopeless family leave harsh poverty behind!
