Empowering Haitian Pastors: Offering Hope Through Discipleship

Most rural pastors in impoverished communities lack formal biblical training and must juggle ministry with jobs like farming or fishing. As they serve God, pastors also bear the heavy burden of bringing eternal hope to communities plagued by hunger, sickness and despair. Here, discipleship is the key!

This is true in Haiti, where church leaders work amid tragedy and trauma every day. That’s why I’m so excited to share an opportunity to equip them with biblical training so they can offer lasting hope to struggling families.

In Haiti, our Knowing and Doing Discipleship Program empowers church leaders to live faithfully. In turn, they learn to share the Gospel of Christ, igniting lasting transformation in their communities.

Knowing and Doing Christian Discipleship Program

At Bright Hope, we believe in the power of strong Christian leadership and spiritual growth within communities. That’s why we focus on equipping church leaders with the tools they need to lead with faith and purpose while also providing practical support through training courses and resources.

Many people struggle to live out their faith in a meaningful way. As a result, Bright Hope is helping to bridge that gap. Our goal is to give individuals the knowledge and skills they need to live faithfully in Jesus.

Our Christian education program in Haiti was designed to bring lasting hope to communities by deepening understanding and shaping a Christ-centered lifestyle. Based on John McQuoid’s Knowing and Doing, the program covered 20 chapters over three months, starting with church leaders, then expanding to church members, and eventually reaching non-believers in the community. Each church appointed a coordinator to ensure the program ran smoothly. Then at the end, every participant received a certificate, celebrating their growth in faith.

By investing in both spiritual and practical education, Bright Hope is helping transform lives. Together, we are building stronger communities, one believer at a time.

Transforming Haiti: Loriston’s Discipleship Journey

Loriston, who lives in northern Haiti serves as a Bible study leader. He shared about his experience in the discipleship program: “As spiritual leaders, the Knowing and Doing Discipleship Program has changed us. It has guided us to seek souls for Christ and live in a way that matches our faith. The program has helped us help others grow in their faith.”

Your gift of $50 can train one church leader to share the Gospel and help meet both the physical and spiritual needs of their communities.

With Easter on our doorstep, you can equip church leaders in impoverished communities to spread the gift of eternal hope, drawing many closer to Christ and His gift of salvation.

Will you consider giving today and making an impact that lasts forever?

This is your moment to bring hope to the hopeless. Your generosity today will empower church leaders and families to rise above poverty and experience lasting transformation.
